Candidates should have– (a) a bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, event management, communications, journalism or other related disciplines from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent; (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note]; (c) a minimum of ten years’ full-time post-qualification experience in marketing, public relations, event management, corporate communication, advertising, web management and social media promotion or equivalent, including at least five years’ experience at managerial level; experience of working in the government or public bodies would be an advantage; (d) hands-on collaborative experience in dealing with different parties in the government and business sectors, and experience in collaborating with overseas stakeholders is preferable; (e) proficiency in the application of common office software (including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as English and Chinese word processing; knowledge of application software for graphic design and adaptation, video editing and social media would be an advantage; and (f) excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
