Qualifications Strong communication skills and fluency in English and Mandarin An understanding of data center management and layout (power, cooling, cabling) A basic understanding of networking and systems concepts (circuits, IP routing, consoles, networking) A basic knowledge of Linux Basic hands-on knowledge of SSH, NFS, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP Experience making and running patch cables (cat5e) Experience working with fiber optic cables, including the inspecting, cleaning, and testing of these cables Basic shell scripting or cloud exposure will be an advantage for this role Basic knowledge of Cisco systems (preferred) Technical inventory management experience (preferred) Candidates should also be: Self-motivated with a strong passion for technology Able to work flexible hours when required (including late nights and weekends in order to access data centers and coordinate with Systems team) Highly analytical with strong attention to detail Able to travel regionally and internationally, especially to countries across Asia Able to lift 60 pounds
