• The nature and intensity of the work required varies with the season. During academy closures and holidays, the team carries out programmes of special deep cleaning, and all cleaners are expected to contribute to these programmes.
• References will be requested for shortlisted candidates prior to interview and will be scrutinised as part of the selection process. Shortlisted candidates will also be required to complete a self-declaration of their criminal record and other information relevant to safeguarding.
• This post involves regulated activity with children and is therefore exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants are required to disclose any cautions, convictions or other relevant information that are not protected under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended).
• The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including a Children's Barred List check. Further pre-employment checks, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education and the Trust's Safer Recruitment procedures, will be completed before any appointment is confirmed. Where applicable, candidates who have lived or worked outside the UK will be required to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct or equivalent overseas criminal record check.
