About You A degree in Music, Vocal Performance, Musical Theatre, Music Education or a related subject, with expertise in vocal performance and vocal pedagogy. Experience teaching or working with young people under 18, including students of mixed abilities and those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills, with the ability to facilitate engaging group learning and performance activities. A commitment to inclusive music and performing arts education, ensuring all students can participate, develop their skills and achieve their potential. A commitment to safeguarding young people and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. Availability to work on Saturdays during term time. Desirable - Professional experience as a vocalist, musical theatre performer, vocal coach or music educator, including experience preparing students for auditions, performances or progression to further musical study, supported by a recognised teaching qualification, relevant continuing professional development, or current knowledge of the music and performing arts industries. Any offer of employment will be made subject to an enhanced DBS check, which will be sought by the LJC for the successful applicant.
