Higher Level Teaching Assistant

• Terrington St Clement Community School is a friendly, successful primary school in need of a caring and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to promote and support our school ethos and ensure high quality of provision for our learners. In this role, you will be required to take the lead in managing small groups of pupils for specific interventions as required and also cover whole classes for which you will be required to plan for and assess progress. As part of a wider team, you may also on occasions be required to support children with Special Needs on a 1:1 basis and carry out intimate care tasks as part of your support role.

• This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.
• This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. If you have information to declare it may be protected under the Exceptions Orders and you may not be required to declare it. You will be asked to make a criminal conviction declaration if you are shortlisted for the post.
