About you You will be an experienced administrator with a strong track record of working in a busy environment, managing competing priorities and maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism. You will be confident leading and supporting a team, creating a positive working environment and ensuring that work is allocated effectively and completed to a high standard. You will be highly organised, adaptable and able to remain calm under pressure, particularly when responding to unexpected situations, frequent interruptions and changing deadlines. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will build positive working relationships with colleagues, parents, pupils and external organisations, handling sensitive or challenging enquiries with tact and professionalism. You will have strong IT skills, confidence in using digital systems and the ability to maintain accurate records, identify errors and improve administrative processes. You will also understand the importance of confidentiality, data protection, safeguarding and safer recruitment, exercising sound judgement and recognising when matters need to be escalated. You will be proactive, reliable and solution-focused, taking accountability for your work while working collaboratively with others. Above all, you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and to providing a welcoming, responsive and effective service to our school community. Experience within a school or education setting would be advantageous, particularly in admissions, recruitment and HR administration, safeguarding compliance, maintaining a Single Central Register or supporting senior leaders. However, we are keen to hear from candidates with strong transferable administrative and team leadership experience who can bring the right skills and approach to the role. A minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths is required. Relevant administrative, business or management qualifications, alongside appropriate professional training, would be beneficial.
