What you’ll bring
Essential:
Experience as a pre-sales, post-sales or implementation engineer working directly with customers or partners
Hands-on API experience: you’re comfortable in Postman, reading logs and debugging a failing request
Working knowledge of OAuth, webhooks and common integration patterns
Programming skills in at least one common language
A solid understanding of how APIs and MCP servers work
A Real Advantage:
Experience building integrations with payment service providers or platforms
Knowledge of payments, eg. Direct Debit, open banking, cards and alternative payment methods
Experience working with platforms or multi-tenant models
Day-to-day use of AI tools in your own engineering work
You’ll probably enjoy this role if

Base salary range: £62,400.00 – £93,600.00 + 30% OTE
Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data. Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
