What’s required
We’re looking for an external communications professional with strong media relations expertise and an interest in broadening their experience across the communications function. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and exercise sound judgment. They should be comfortable operating with ambiguity, adapting to changing priorities, and working independently while staying closely connected to the broader team.
You’ll also need:
At least seven years of communications experience in-house, at an agency, or in the public sector, including experience in financial services or advising financial services clients, with a strong understanding of the industry.
A proactive mindset and ability to move fluidly between strategic counsel and hands-on execution.
Exceptional writing, research, and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, effective communications for different audiences.
Strong media relations experience across EMEA and/or APAC, including established relationships with relevant business and financial reporters,
Experience advising C-suite executives on complex communications and reputational issues, with sound judgement on sensitive matters.
Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to develop clear recommendations, incorporate different perspectives, and build alignment among stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead projects from planning through completion, collaborate with internal clients, manage agency partners, and balance competing priorities.
A collaborative approach, openness to feedback, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Willingness to travel regularly throughout EMEA and APAC.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
