Additional Needs Teaching Assistant (ANTA) Level 2 (2 Positions Available)

• Devonshire Primary Academy wishes to appoint two temporary Additional Needs Teaching Assistants (ANTA) at Level 2 to provide learning support to pupils facing barriers to learning. The postholders will work as part of the school team to support the learning, development and wellbeing of pupils across the school. The successful candidates will provide targeted and general classroom support, working with individuals and groups of children as required. The role may involve working within different year groups or provision areas, including THE EYFS and specialist settings, depending on the needs of the school. The postholders will be expected to be flexible and responsive to changing priorities, undertaking duties appropriate to the role as directed by their Line Manager.
• The successful candidates will be passionate, innovative and flexible and want to make a difference to the lives of our children. They will fully engage children in their learning and make a positive contribution to the delivery of quality learning experiences for the children they work with. The successful candidates must have relevant primary school experience and be able to demonstrate an understanding of children’s educational development throughout the relevant age range. We would be interested to hear of previous experience in a similar role, as well as any curricular strengths or areas of expertise/interest.
• Be able to implement activities for children as required under the direction of the class teacher.
