What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: Relevant Level 3 or higher qualification (e.g., HLTA, Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools, or Early Years Educator).
Experience: A proven track record supporting pupils with significant learning difficulties, including ASD and speech/language needs operating at pre- or semi-formal developmental stages.
SEND Expertise: Practical experience applying Total Communication approaches (AAC, PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, Core Word structures) and working within the SEND Code of Practice.
Leadership & Personal Qualities: Strong leadership capabilities, emotional intelligence, patience, resilience, and a calm, proactive approach to dynamic environments.
Desirable: Accredited training in positive handling/de-escalation (Team Teach, MAPA) and experience managing support teams in education
