What we're looking for
You will have:
GCSE maths and English (Grade 4 or above), or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards functional skills qualifications
good communication and interpersonal skills, with patience and empathy in your interactions with students
a reflective approach, open to feedback and committed to your own growth and best practice
resilience when faced with challenging situations, and the ability to manage these professionally
a collaborative approach, working as a trusted team member who understands their role and supports colleagues when needed
a genuine commitment to equality and safeguarding the welfare of every child.
Teaching assistants employed on 20 hours per week or above who don't already hold a Level 3 teaching assistant qualification (or equivalent) will be enrolled onto our Level 3 Initial Teaching Assistant Training programme during their employment.
If you have experience working in a school or with young people, or hold a Level 3 teaching assistant qualification, that's a bonus. But above all, we're looking for someone who brings warmth, curiosity and a commitment to helping every child succeed. Could that be you?
