Who you are:
8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining complex software applications
Experience implementing distributed systems and service-oriented architectures
Strong experience with Python and JavaScript
Experience building frontend applications using TypeScript and React
Experience working with databases and query technologies such as MySQL, Snowflake, Neo4j, Kafka, OpenSearch, or similar platforms
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with HTTP and OAuth standards
Comfortable working within AWS cloud environments
Experience writing unit, integration, and automated tests
Experience investigating production issues through logging, monitoring, and performance analysis
Experience working in Agile development environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams
Interest in learning the complexities of the systems and business processes that support the global music industry
The ideal candidate
Experience building software for financial, accounting, ERP, payments, e-commerce, content, data, or other highly complex and data-intensive business systems
Experience modeling complex business domains and translating business rules into scalable software solutions
Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and relational databases
Experience optimizing application performance, database queries, and large-scale data processing
Passion for improving engineering standards, developer tooling, and technical documentation
Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives without direct people-management responsibility
Curious, collaborative, and proactive, with a continuous-improvement mindset
Interest in music, technology, and building systems that directly support artists and creators
