Map the role requirements
Separate essential and desirable skills, then prepare a real project example for each important requirement. Practise explaining the problem, your responsibility, approach, trade-offs and outcome rather than listing technologies.
Clarify the assessment
Ask about format, expected duration, allowed tools and submission before starting. For an extensive take-home assignment or real business data, clarify scope, use and confidentiality expectations.
Prepare to discuss setbacks
Choose a challenge you are allowed to share. Explain how you diagnosed it, sought help and improved afterwards. Protect confidential information belonging to former employers, clients and users.
