Understand what the experience is for
Read the daily responsibilities, identify the skills needed and separate essentials from preferences. If the experience requirement is ambiguous, ask the recruiter. If a role requires a statutory licence or qualification, check that requirement directly.
Use relevant evidence
Connect comparable work from internships, coursework or activities to the role, such as organising data, speaking with customers or coordinating a team. State your contribution and result; do not represent internship time as full-time employment.
Choose where to apply
If the core tasks match your abilities and there is no clearly unmet essential requirement, consider applying honestly. Make a learning plan for gaps and continue looking for roles with training for new starters.
